I did a slight deep dive. Apparently this bridge (except the Korean parts obviously) were sampled by a Pharell produced song "Back of my mind." One lyric was rearranged a bit, but otherwise it very well resembles the sampled song.

Yeah it's weird. It's prob simple programming too. I know emotes are indefinite on fortnite and overwatch. Also, you can't emote unless you have clearance, like your own separate box on the stage. There's like this weird 2-3 seconds of trying to find space to emote/join the dance.

What do you like and how did you get here? Every genre - contemporary or not, came from somewhere. I don't need to be around in the 1960s to enjoy the Beatles, or to play homage to them. I'm sure today's artists have drawn influences from Michael Jackson. What do you make of Bruno Mars's funky disco style? He wasn't born in the 70's. As long as the artist pulls it off well, I don't see a problem with that. I'd only complain if it wasn't working. If your problem is that they weren't born in that era, you're severely closing off your palette. Hope you find something that suits you.
